Tanzania Voted Best Safari Destination In Africa

October 18, 2013

The Great Migration in The Serengeti, Tanzania

In a survey of over 3,000 reviews of safari tours and destinations across Africa, Tanzania has come out on top. Safaribookings.com, a new online safari marketplace, have collated over 2,300 user reviews from travellers who have been on safari in Africa during the last few years. In addition, they also referred to over 700 expert reviews given by professional guidebook authors, and were able to rate the best African wildlife safari destinations.

The average rating for Tanzania was a staggering 4.84 out of a possible 5, confirming what we have long believed, which is that no other country delivers such stunning wildlife attractions and events, coupled with great beaches, and (for most of the country for most of the year) very few crowds. The rest of East Africa also fared very well, with Kenya pegged at an impressive 4.66 and Uganda scoring a very respectable 4.16.

We have also received our first user review on SafariBookings.com – a five star write up from a client we hosted in Uganda earlier this year. If you fancy a read of the review, or if you have travelled with us before and would like to leave one of your own, please visit the site here.
