Mowani Mountain Camp

overview

Safari Highlights

Mowani Mountain Camp is located in Namibia's vast Damaraland, and is comprised of 12 cottages.

Mowani Mountain Camp, NamibiaPerfect Refuge

Nestled in the gigantic boulders of a rocky hillside, the spacious, canvas-walled chalets offer both privacy and spectacular vistas to the west, east and north-east. Each one is beautifully appointed, in keeping with the special nature of this location. Also available is a pool and very comfortable public areas, perfect for mingling with other guests to catch up on the day's activities.

Mowani Mountain Camp, NamibiaDesert Delights

There's a number of different activities on offer in the area surrounding the camp. While here, you can track desert-adapted elephant, visit the ancient San rock art at Twyfelfontein or the wonderfully named geological formations of the Petrified Forest, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. You can also visit the mysterious "fairy circles", or learn more about the Damara people, who are indigenous to the area.
