Patrick - Founder and CEO
Originally from Kenya, Patrick practically grew up on safari, and now uses that knowledge and experience to drive Journeys Discovering Africa to be one of the best boutique operators around. Patrick splits his time between the UK and Africa, and aside from his role in managing our client base, his love of the bush ensures that going on safari remains the other responsibility he indulges in as often as possible.

Victoria - Founder
Victoria came to Africa on a whim 25 years ago, immediately fell in love with the place, and has never left. She joined Patrick in starting up and running Journeys Discovering Africa. Her love of travel plays a large part in driving us to constantly improve our client experience.

Majabeen - Commercial Director
London-based Majabeen draws on her African roots and deep love of the continent when it comes to running JDA . With over 25 years in the UK commercial environment, she oversees the administrative aspects of the company and plays a significant role in our operations

Arthur - East Africa General Manager
Arthur is very well versed with the East African safari scene, and is a highly respected member of our team. He is often a sounding board for the rest of us in the day to day running of a luxury safari company. He is a firm believer that robust systems and meticulous planning are essential to the success of each and every safari we run.

Grace - East Africa Consultant
Grace started off in the hotel industry, before moving to JDA to make her mark as a tour consultant.Grace specializes in planning trips for families and small groups in Uganda and Rwanda. Her knowledge of both destinations is impeccable and she enjoys the challenge of putting together detailed multi-day itineraries that have something for everyone in the group.

A phenomenal networker, Peace has a reputation in our East Africa office for knowing almost everyone in the tourism industry. Peace specialises in designing bespoke trips for singles and couples in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, and also occasionally guides our women’s only and mixed groups

Guenaelle - OPerations Supervisor and Safari Guide
Guen has one of the most cosmopolitan backgrounds of all of us. She grew up in Kenya and attended university in Brighton in the UK. She loves to spend as much time out of the office as in, and as she is fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda, she often guides our specialist womens safaris in Rwanda and Uganda
