Andy Gooch Photography – Chimp Tracking

December 13, 2013

We were fortunate enough to welcome photographer Andy Gooch on safari when he visited Rwanda’s mountain gorillas last year. Since his return he has shared with us his photos of this and other primate encounters during his time spent living in Uganda and Rwanda.

We will be sharing a series of his images with you, starting with a chimpanzee tracking experience in Budongo Forest, in northern Uganda, including an incredible shot of some of the chimps feasting on a rather unfortunate Black and White Colobus monkey. We have included only one picture of the latter, to avoid too much gory detail, but to have witnessed such a raw display of nature in the wild must have been awe-inspiring!

If you would like to encounter these great apes of Budongo Forest, check out our Albertine Adventure tour – it includes chimp tracking in Budongo as well as gorilla tracking in Bwindi, and plenty of other wildlife activities in between.
