Rwandair launch direct flights to Mwanza, Tanzania
July 10, 2012This month, Rwandair have launched a new direct service to Mwanza, their 3rd destination in Tanzania. Departures will be three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays), and will use a Bombardier Dash8-200 aircraft with a 37 passenger seating capacity. Previously, clients travelling from Northern Serengeti to Rwanda had to route via Kilimanjaro to the east or take the Coastal Aviation daily shared charter service from Mwanza – though this requires a minimum number of 2 passengers or a surcharge is applied.
Now clients have more options to connect their Serengeti safari with gorilla tracking encounters in Volcanoes National Park, chimp tracking in Nyungwe Forest, or exploring the coffee and tea plantations of the scenic area of Lake Kivu. This new move by Rwandair will allow Journeys Discovering Africa to offer more choices when creating tailor-made East African safari holidays, creating affordable alternatives for our customers in these increasingly price-sensitive times.
