Chobe Elephant Camp

Safari Highlights

Located on the land of the Sibuya people, close to the Chobe river in northern Botswana, Chobe Elephant Camp consists of 10 en suite cottages and one family suite.

The camp is spread out along the crest of a rocky ridge overlooking the river, and offers stunning views of the floodplain below. The camp is appropriate to the harsh local conditions, with thick walls constructed from sandbags to keep the interiors cool. Great care has been taken to minimize the environmental footprint, with furniture constructed from renewable or reclaimed wood, and solar water heating.

Chobe Elephant Camp, BotswanaElephants galore

Chobe has some of the densest elephant populations on the planet, and this camp is well located to experience these magnificent animals close up. The river and surrounding woodland offer an incredible diversity of habitats, which in turn attracts a wide variety and high density of flora and fauna, including the highest predator density in Botswana. Wildlife viewing by vehicle, boat and on foot is regularly satisfying.
