Lamai Serengeti

overview

Safari Highlights

Lamai is a small permanent lodge situated in the remote far northern sector of the Serengeti National Park.

Lamai Serengeti nestles discretely amongst the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, just a few miles from where the annual migration of two million wildebeest cross the Mara River. Whether it is the migratory herds you are after, or the big five, Lamai puts you in the heart of some great wildlife viewing country.

Each room has been designed to fit into the rocky hillside in an organic way - so much so that the casual eye would have a hard time making out the lodge at all. The rooms make the most of the amazing views, sense of space and ambient light with a stylish blend of canvas, plaster and natural wood. The lodge is actually two distinct properties - the main lodge has 8 rooms in all, and a separate, smaller, private camp has just 4 rooms - great for intimate group safaris and family holidays.
