Reviews about Journeys Discovering Africa

Primate Lodge Kibale

overview

Safari Highlights

Primate Lodge is a simple but comfortable eco-lodge located within Kibale National park. It is surrounded by a flourishing tropical forest that is a habitat for many different species of primates, including chimpanzees, and it is also home to about 350 species of birds, six of which are endemic to the region.

Comfort in the African Jungle

The lodge is discretely hidden away in the rainforest, behind the Kanyanchu park headquarters, conveniently placed for any park-based activities such as chimp trekking, birding and night-time forest walks. The location of the lodge gives guests the chance to take their time in the morning, and have a relaxing breakfast before starting the day’s activities. For birders this is an ideal spot to base oneself for the guided birding walks offered by the park rangers.

Relax and Enjoy

The lodge offers a choice of safari tent accommodation or charming stone cottages. The number of rooms available make it a good choice for larger groups.
