Reviews about Journeys Discovering Africa

Ishasha Wilderness Camp

overview

Safari Highlights

This exclusive tented camp offers simple, but quality accommodation in an unspoilt area. It caters for up to sixteen guests in large, canvas tents situated in riverine woodland along a bank of the Ntungwe river. Each tent has its own en suite private bathroom and dressing area providing “bucket” showers with warm water and an eco friendly toilet system.

Snug Surroundings

A central dining area, also under canvas, provides a comfortable environment for meals and an outdoor lounge area besides the river, and evening camp fire completes the quintessential bush experience on offer.

Activities & Attractions

The camp is an ideal place from which to conduct game driving forays into the tracks to the south, but much of the game comes to visit those waiting patiently in a camp chair with a pair of binoculars. Numerous bird species parade past and hours may be spent by the river watching the complex interplay of the African bush.
