Reviews about Journeys Discovering Africa

Leroo La Tau

overview

Safari Highlights

Leroo La Tau is a lodge located on the banks of the Boteti River, just outside the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

Quietly Comfortable

Accommodation consists of 12 spacious chalets that are built at the edge of an escarpment, and each one has sliding glass doors that open onto a private deck, affording incredible views. The main lodge area, built from natural wood, brick and thatch, houses the dining and bar, but dinner under the clear skies is a frequent treat when the lodge staff lay tables out in the grounds.

The Lion's Paw

The lodge is aptly named after the lions paw, as the area's wildlife is prolific due to the permanent water provided by the river. There are several ways to enjoy this abundance. Apart from the lodge's own hide, game walks and day and night game drives are possible, as are (water levels permitting) boat cruises.
