Tortilis Camp

Safari Highlights

Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped Acacia Tortilis that dot this area of Amboseli.  Game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place inside the Park and within the camp’s private 30,000 acre game concession. The tents are spacious, with elegant en suite bathrooms. There is a main lounge, bar and dining area exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with the dining area overlooking a waterhole that is frequented by Amboseli's famous elephants.

Elephants Galore

Amboseli is best known for its large elephant population and its unrivaled views of Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. The park is home to the longest study of wild elephants ever taken, a project that was begun in 1973  by Dr Cynthia Moss. The park remains one of the best places  in Kenya to commune with these giants.
