Reviews about Journeys Discovering Africa

Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge

overview

Safari Highlights

A stunning lodge located right on the bank of the Zambezi, Sussi & Chuma comes complete with the legendary service that one would expect of a Sanctuary Retreats property.

Riverside Relaxation

Located right in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on a bend in the Zambezi, the lodge is 12 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. This takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Livingstone and allows you to enjoy the serenity of an outstanding riverside spot. The cries of fish eagles and the bellicose grunting of hippo provide a perfect backing chorus to your stay here.

Effortless Ease

With just 12 luxury tree houses, the lodge is one of the less busy accommodation options near Victoria Falls, and one that is decidedly non-urban. It is the only property that offers guided bush walks in the park. The elegant deck makes for great views, and the spa offers further avenue to spoil yourself. It's a place that just slows you down and give you time to reflect - the perfect end to a Zambia safari.
