Wildwaters Lodge Announces Reduced Rates for 2013
February 6, 2013The popular luxury African safari lodge, Wildwaters, has announced a significant reduction in rates for 2013 to celebrate 50 years of independence in Uganda, and also in recognition of tighter holiday budgets. Rack rates at the property have been reduced by up to 36% so a stay at this incredible lodge is now more affordable than ever before.
We are pleased to report that the reduction in rates does not reflect any sort of reduction in quality. Located on its own private island nature reserve, overlooking some of the most dramatic white water rapids on the River Nile just north of Jinja, the lodge is an enchanting place to spend a few days relaxing at the end of a safari. For those that prefer to remain active throughout their holiday, it is also perfectly placed to take advantage of all the adventure Jinja has to offer – from white water rafting and kayaking, to jetboats, quad bikes and horseback safaris.
Each room overlooks the Nile River, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of a bathtub on your own private deck. If you book a ‘Wildwaters Signature Bath’, the on-site spa staff will prepare for you a soothing lather of bubbles infused with aromatic plants and natural oils – and accompanied by a chilled bottle of a different sort of bubbles – the very definition of indulgence in our book.
A raised, wooden walkway traverses the whole island, leading to secret hideaways and rock pools – perfect for exploring on lazy sunny days. While Journeys Discovering Africa visited, we spotted an array of beautiful butterflies and birds, not to mention numerous water monitor lizards! All in all, Wildwaters is a perfect place to end a Uganda safari and reflect on your memories of the trip in perfect serenity.
